And the winner is...

Henry Opiña

A visual essay about the way that Norwich's graffiti tells stories about the city.

Henry's work, 'The Blood of Christ at the Bell Hotel: Examining the Fluidity of Street Art Between Streets' was submitted to the module 'Urban Visions: The City in Literature and Visual Culture,' run by Nola Merckel.

In coming to their decision to award the Innovation in Assessment Prize to Henry Opiña, the judges commented on the exceptional quality of all aspects of this piece: the rigorous and creative way in which it responds to the module's ideas; the depth of scholarship; the compelling way in which the argument builds and deepens as it progresses; the sophisticated relationship between form and content.

"I am absolutely delighted to see that Henry's work has won the prize, and especially pleased because the other shortlisted work was so strong. The judge's comments on Henry's piece are mightily well-deserved." - Nola Merckel, 'Urban Visions: The City in Literature and Visual Culture'
